Annie Kahane is a performer and maker working in performance poetry, dance, song, and theater. Since 2014 she has created and produced six dance theater works ranging from 30-60 minutes under the project name Alive & Well Productions, working in San Francisco and more recently, Los Angeles. She has also shared shorter works at festivals and showcases such as Dance Mission Theater’s Choreographer’s Showcase and PUSHfest, both in San Francisco. She is the recipient of two grants from the Zellerbach Family Foundation and a Rainin Opportunity Fund Award, a program of ODC Theater and the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. Her poetry has been featured on KQED San Francisco Public Radio and WBEZ Chicago Public Radio. She earned her MFA in Choreographic Inquiry from UCLA in June 2022.
