Congratulations to Damola Osinulu (MA, 2007, PhD Candidate), who will be joining the Michigan Society of Fellows for a 3-year postdoctoral fellowship and a 3-year concurrent appointment as an Assistant Professor in the Center for Afroamerican and African Studies (CAAS). Building on his doctoral investigation of Pentecostalism in urban Nigeria, this postdoctoral research will examine Nigerian Pentecostalism's journey across national borders into the African cities of Accra, Johannesburg and Kinshasa. This research is intended to re-calibrate discussions of global flows by shifting our focus towards the exchange of ideas and practices between Africans within the continent.
