Yoruba Counterworks: Ritual Renewal and the Arts of Subversion
Photographs by Andrew Apter
April 8– June 6
Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Glorya Kaufman Hall, Second Floor, South Lobby

Yoruba Counterworks represents the power of negation in Yoruba ritual; that which dismantles, dismembers, and deconstructs within the hidden arenas of cosmological renewal. The images and icons presented here evoke the subversive undercurrents of ritual power, the unspeakable secrets of its efficacy.
